Moving and Mango Lassi

Mango lassi on wooden chopping board with mango on the side yummy looking creamy right thick

Hello Loose shoppers,

We are still in the process of moving the shop and will be open from next Monday 10 May!

New address: 33 High Street, Stroud.

In the meantime, you can still make yourself some delicious healthy things, such as a Mango Lassi!

Geoff, who works at Loose, has a neat tip for us: use dried mango pieces to make mango lassi, and you'll have an even more decadent flavoured drink. Yum.

Originally lassis come from hot countries like India, where they are said to cool off the body, not that we need that around here, but summer is coming, and it's great to try something new in time for the heatwave that will (hopefully) strike England soon.

Lassis can be salty or sweet, but we think using our organic, amazingly tasty dried mangoes will serve you a taste of distant lands that will satisfy your craving to travel far and wide. At least for a moment.

ACTION!
Soak the dried mango, perhaps four strips per person, throw in your blender along with yoghurt of choice, a wee dash of water OR the soaking water OR some ice cubes, cinnamon, little cardamon, or keep it simply just down to the intensity of the mango flavour.

We think sneaking in some superfoods works wonders at this point if you feel so inclined.

Balance the amounts of things to your preferences.

Garnish with some chopped pistachios or nothing more, and enjoy an exotic drink in your lovely English kitchen.

Have a great week and see you next Monday for our opening!

The Loose Team.
